Homecoming Is The “Main Event” Alright Doerr! Congratulations!!! That’s right Ann you won!! Wow! That was some play!! “Best of the Movies” was the theme leading this year’s home- coming festivities. Many things happened during the week, with dress-up days and the classes making the floats. Coronation was lead off with a skit contest, which the sopho- mores taking 1st and seniors tak- ing 2nd. The “Main Event” of the evening was the crowning of the 1982 Homecoming King and Queen Ron Doerr Ann Gross. After coronation there was a bonfire, led by the cheerleaders, to fire up the crowd for Monday nights game. Monday was topped off with a parade, featuring floats by the classes and the local businesses and the 1982 royalty and the BHS Band. That evening was the homecoming football game against the Warner Monarchs, which the Bobcats pulled off with a score of 40-6, to win. Steve shows his pearly whites!! Nine-Man Football Returns To BHS Nine man football returned to Bowdle this year after a three year absence. The team’s season ended with a 3-1 record after numerous injuries were incurred. There were 20 hard working guys who stuck out the season, 10 from high school and 10 from junior high. The one senior and two juniors were appointed as the team’s Tri-Captains. When asked about his feelings about the season. Coach Knudsen said he was impressed with the team’s outcome and was proud of how they played. He also felt that next year’s team will posses alot of quality with 8 lettermen returning. The Bobcats won this year’s homecoming game over the Warner Monarchs by a 40-6 score.
