First Grade Learns Five Senses The first grade class has enjoyed learning about the 5 senses of the brain. The children tried to read a primer in braille and learned how difficult it was to walk around without sight, (they were blindfolded); they listened for sounds, they felt things with their hands; they tasted and smelled many different items. The unit was finished by making a poster of themselves using their five senses. BACK ROW: L to R: Michelle Gisi, Brooke Dohn, Jeremy Hoffman, Timothy Thomas. Curtis Jackson. Melanie Green.
