Teachers Conduct Mini-Courses Superintendent and Elementary Principal was once again Mrs. tenor a Berg. Mrs Berg was also the FT A and Junior and Senior Class Advisor. Secondary Principal and B Club Advisor for the year was Mr Richard Daugherty. He also taught Government. Civics, and SD History. He was the Girl's Basketball Coach. Staff reduction in the high school meant smaller teacher meetings, fewer people avail- able for extra-curricular activi- ties. and a limited amount of electives available to the stu- dents. To encourage better com- munity involvement, the facul- ty sponsored an American Education Night where parents became the students. The mid-winter blahs were given a temporary reprieve when mini-courses were held for two days in February. Teachers drew on their diverse backgrounds and taught courses ranging from whist to chess and from social dance to disco. Mr Brad Schlepp taught Biology. Physice. Anatomy. PI., Health, and Freshman Science. He was also the coach for Football. Track. Cross country, and Boys Basketball. Mr. Arlyn Fiedler served ad Guidance Counselor this year. He was at the school one day each week Title I teachers this year were Mrs Marge Seventh and Eighth Grade teacher was MarHyn Teiti and her Buechler and Mrs Mary Person assistant Mrs Wanda Reiger. This year. Mr Gary Bachman was back in our Vo. Ag. Department. He taught Vo. Ag. I. tt. III. IV. and Advanced Welding. He was also the advisor for the Jr.-Sr. From. Serving as Librarian this year was Mrs Mary Person. She was also the Title I teacher for the high school and the Freshmen Class Advisor. RIGHT: Teaching Tuping I, Book- keeping. Psychology. Sociology, Office Practice, and Business Law was Mrs. Cheryl Dewald. She was also the advisor for the Annual and Paper Staff and the Senior Class. LEFT: Our new English teacher for the 1980-81 school year was Mr Tim Dewald. He taught English I. H, M. IV. and American History. He was also the Freshmen Class Advi- sor.
