A REMINISCENCE The ceremonies are over, his honors and accomplishments have been listed, and a plaque has been hung to honor his memory. There is nothing more we can do for Lance Schumacher. Therefore, the purpose of this page is to serve as our remembrance of him—of the kid who laughed in the hallways, blocked on the football team, served as a student lead- er, made music with the band, sweated out tests, and joked with friends—of the kid who lived eighteen years and was suddenly gone. It's been almost a year since Lance died, and we will remember him for the rest of our lives. For this, we are grateful. Lance was the kind of person we want to remember. 2
