KINDERGARTEN ADJUSTS SOCIALLY SITTING: Timothy Reuer, Rhonda Aldinger, Jean Pe- terman, Fred Sauer, Robyn Brown, Ronald Doerr, Jami Rohrbach. STANDING: Timothy Haar, Marla Vetch, Mike Geier, Timothy Heilman, Ann Gross, Mrs. Kurle, Darwin Bollinger. On January 6, the kindergarten took their first big step towards an education. The hardest problem for the children, is to ad- just socially to being with others their own age. The children are taught to learn thru actual experiences. Their first big event was the making of valentines for Valentines Day. After they had them made and addressed, they had the privilege to mail them and watch the process that their cards are put thru af- ter they are mailed. During the windy month of March, the students made kites. Making real gingerbread men cookies was an ex- citing part of their school term. Thru these and many more real life experiences, the kindergarten students are shaped into future students of BHS. SPECIAL PROGRAM PERSONNEL Marge Buechler, remedial reading teacher for the lower grades is trying to motivate Discovery Through Reading . In the above bulletin board you can see the many questions asked when reading a story. « A new job in the system this year is the teacher's aid position held by Mrs. Gordon Stotz. She does special jobs assigned to her by the teachers in grades 3 and 4 24
