TO THE FUTURE Leading the seniors through their last year were: Mr. Hart, Ad- visor; Marcella Feick- ert, President; Wade Schmierer, Vice- President; Alexzine Kiesz, Secretary; and Char Houghtaling, Treasurer. Wade Schmierer and Donnie Houghtaling are two seniors working on a chemistry experiment... The Seniors belonging to the Twelve Year Club this year were: Allen Leidholt, Tessy Bachman, Pam Knecht, Molly Vetch, Dennis Stotz, Marcella Feickert, Norbert Thomas, Kathy Huber, Karen Schmierer, Susan Carlson, Marsha Oster, and Brad Schlepp. For the 1968-69 school term at Bowdle High School, many things have changed. The seniors as well as the other high school students had to adjust to a new type of system, called MODULAR SCHEDULING. Under this flexible MOD a machines room was set up, called the A. V. Center, in which seniors in Honor Society acted as 'librarians. These machines and aids, which helped out many of the seniors in their classes, could be checked in and out much like a library. An old tradition was broken, to the disappointment of the seniors. They lost their privilege of being first in the lunch line, due to the new scheduling. On the 20th of December they put on a high school dance featuring a band called The Carousels. ACT tests and ITED tests aided the seniors in many challenging de- cisions about their future. Now after decisions are made, the seniors can look back with happy remembrances of those happy golden rule days but also can look to their future knowing that all of their high school experiences and years were an opening door to the challenges beyond.
