Rooms have been equipped with wall screens to make the use of these devices easier. A transparency copier is being used for making transparencies for dif- ferent classes. A type- writer with large type and one with mathematical symbols are used by the teachers. MR. PERSONNEL ENJOYS NEW EQUIPMENT Clarence Schumacher, Jake Schilling, Joseph Stappler, Roger Jacobs, Oscar Metzger, Everet Lemke. Not Pictured: Gordon Stotz, Captain, and Larry Bauer. Mrs. Freda Buckenberger, Mrs. Adeline Brown, Mrs. Katie Dumdel, and Mrs. Emma Bonen. Bright and early each morning, six bus drivers start on their respective routes with the six buses, one of which is new, to pick up the children for school. When the children arrive, they see Mrs. Putnam about meal tickets and other financial matters. She now does all of her clerical work on a new long-carriage typewriter. The head cook, Mrs. Buckenberger, along with her helpers, then prepares an appe- tizing meal for the children and serves it on the new plastic-topped tables. Later on in the day, someone is bound to get hurt and goes to Mrs. Bodkin, who is the first school nurse Bowdle has ever had. Mrs. Bodkin also gives the grade schoolchildren a physical checkup and hearing tests. At the end of the school day the children are taken home again by the buses. When all is quiet, Mr. Bonen, the custodian, cleans the school and enjoys using his new vacuum cleaner on the new ozite rugs on the first floor hall and typing room.
