The program was a tribute to the 1961 62 Bobcat King and Queen, who were crowned earlier in the evening. After the program the students gathered to participate in a pep fest around a bon-fire. This was followed by the traditional snake dance. October 20, 1961 The festivities continued the next day when the Bowdle Bobcats tested their football skill against the Hosmer Tigers, defeating them by the score of to 12 The homecoming festivities were brought to a close with a dance held in the school gymnasium with the Frank Cross Orchestra furnishing the music. Although the days seemed short, they will always be remembered by all who took part in them. 28
