Absent Concerning that auspicious occasion we dare only mention our surprise and thrill lest some curious member of the Class of '64 read this history during orientation week next year. Let it suffice to say that our feelings were com- parable that night to those we experienced after the school banquet, which was held a short time later. Never will any of us forget the impact of thebsongs and speeches that r1ight, some humor- ous, all touching. Thanksgiving came and went, and no sooner had Home for the Holidays ceased to echo through RPS Hall, that we were back again and counting the weeks until Christmas recess. If Orientation Week was hectic, the week before vacation was feverish. Between studying for the cluster of exams, and finishing our research pa- pers, there was hardly time to breathe. The Freshman pajama party broke up the crammed full hours of studying before exams. We really let ourselves go in weird relay races and modeling contests. Finals came. We saw. We felt conquered. By '63 it will be just routine. Now we're a year old, and like every baby of the family, we can't wait to grow up. We are eagerly looking forward to Monomoy, where we can at last be called sophomores.
