Sept. 18, 1957 . . . World shaking news - integration hits the campus - Bouve is cooperating - men, real live men, sitting in our wonderful Sociology class! Jan., 1958 . . . There's that thing called pinning again. Well, sophomore year passed with the same yearly tmditionr, and we were soon looking forward to being upperclassmen. Yes, the fu- ture did look brighter, but one thing we remember about that year - the junior class project - balls . They cer- tainly made a lot of money. Sept. 16,1958 . . . Back again, with the P.E.'s carrying those trusty dancing shoes, and look, Ma, my pretty blueskirt! Marched to RPSH with its musical pipes and smoking in the rooms. Startling discovery - freshman have later permissions. Boy, this younger generation! Oh well, that's life. It goes on and on and on . . . Sept. 17, 1958 . . . Classes again with something new - poor P.E.'s rise early to teach their bright-eyed, bushy-tailed youngsters. Oh, we sing as we work . . . Jan.12, 1959 . . . So this is what pinning is! Jan. 25-Jan. 51, 1959 . . . Ski week - did you get a boo-boo, Miss Brown? Feb. 2, 1959 . . . Polish shoes, iron uniforms, buttons in, pins on and they're off - oh, we sing as we work . . Y-'f Oiy - the pressure! Like, here comes Miss Brown! A.. The good old days. the log Sept. 14, 1956. . . First day of our four year journey - 69 stars arrived at Bouve to meet Sun Sweet and her Satellites. Posture pictures - last class to shed all for Miss Wills! Moved into our new homes - six big brown creaking houses. Permissions - 7:30's and two 10:00's monthly - smoking in the smokers only. Very lenient, really! Looking at those old houses though, no one can say that they really aren't close to the hearts of all of us, for they were truly homes away from home. Sept. 19, 1956. .. Classes begin - grind, but one thing was certain even at the begin- ning - our P.E.'s were the best dancers Bouve had ever seen! Unbe- known to all, though, this would be the last year P.T.'s would be seen hanging like monkeys on the rope in the gym. Oct. 29,1956 . . . First banquet - our song - loved it dearlyl? Dec. 14, 1956 . . . First Christmas Program - freshman actresses - our loyal speech teacher - remember the clock that suddenly gained time? Jan. 1957 . . . Junior Physical Therapy Pinning Ceremony - What's that? Mar. 23,1957 . . . Parent's Weekend - well, this is the place! May 10, 1957 . . . Finally, Class Day. We stood united once more, although not as pol- ished or all knowing as the other three groups, but ever climbing. May 20,1957 . . . Arrival on a dark rainy day at Camp Yom-O-Nom - ice water. - the itch - yellow fallout - Sralag 11. June 16-Sept. 15, 1957 . . . BLESSED REST. ,az

tv Sept. 21, 1959 . . . Back again - P.E.'s still dragging .those old worn dancing shoes - P.T.'s still carrying their trusty white polish. Oh well, that's life. It goes on and on and on .... Now, after integration came to the campus, segregation again - Dewick. 1960 . . . Well, ah, um, Baby Ducks , here we are at the top, finally seniors, and it behooves us as such, with all these entities per se behind us, to march continually forward. Yes, the senior doughnut and coffee brigade - a very productive class we are in more ways than one, but now reduced to 45 all looking forward to Senior Week Cby that time - Seniors weakb, Pomp and Circumstancen and Alumni Weekend. But looking back we remember important events such as satellites circling the earth, the new states Alaska and Hawaii, the Russian moon hit, Krushchev's visit, Eisenhowefs tour, and the 1960 Winter Olympics with one of our own classmates competing on the U.S. Olympic Speed Skating Team. We've witnessed a lot of changes, not only world wide but also in Bouve, but the school is still basically the same. We all came hoping to graduate in our chosen fields and now our-dream is nearing reality, but in the long climb, we have learned, we hope, the one basic element in education and that is: - To know that we know what we know, and that we do not know what we do not know, that is true knowledge. - Confucius - THE BEGINNING A 34 11,1 Too many cooks spoil the . . . stew!
