Senior Class Review . . . In the fall of 1968, we crossed the threshold of Bourne High as “insignificant” freshmen. We made our debut by electing as our fresh- man class officers: President, David Mc- Dermott; Vice-President, Sharon Gandy; Sec- retary, Karen Brown; and Treasurer, Peter Olson. We participated in the annual magazine drive, which provided the initial start in the class treasury. We survived the first year by accepting the traditional degrading, scornful remarks in- flected upon us by the upperclassmen. Refus- ing to let this abuse dampen our spirits, we forged ahead into our sophomore year. We commenced our year as silly sophomores, by electing Nobby Aflague as President; Cheryl Krumrine, Vice-President; Sue Wright, Sec- retary; and Ann Goss, Treasurer. As sopho- mores, we were represented in some of the school’s more prominent activities. Sue Wright and Karen Brown represented our class at the Homecoming Football Game and Dance, which were sponsored by the Code Club.

Our junior year was successful under the guidance of officers Sue Wright, President; Karen Brown, Vice-President; Jean Christop- ulos, Secretary; Sandy Fougere, Treasurer; and Mary Lynn Sherlock, Prom Committee Chair- man. Once again we took part in the Home- coming Activities, with Karen Brown and Sue Wright as our representatives to the Home- coming Court. The main event of the year was, of course, the Junior Prom. We were helped along under the leadership of our class advisor, Mrs. Susan Doucette. The prom committee worked dili- gently preparing the decorations to correspond with the theme of the Prom — “Scarborough Fair”. The focal point of the room at the Holi- day Inn was a gazebo for the court, constructed by the boys of the prom committee. The Junior Prom of 1971 proved to be a memorable occasion for all who attended. Sue Wright was crowned queen of the evening. Karen Brown, Mary Beth McGreavy, Beth Walters, Mary Lynn Sherlock and Jean Christopulos, the members of the Prom Court danced to music provided by The Changing Times. Senior Class Officers President: Gwendolyn A. Williams Vice-President: Beth Ann Walters Secretary: Karen M. Brown Treasurer: J. Mark Leary 27
