I {Junior Prom 4f % + At ten o’clock, after dancing to the music of Jay Mando and his orchestra, refresh- ments were served. Bob Roth, Evelyn Lau and Joan Wallace entertained the many guests at this time. The highlight of the evening was the crowning of the Queen. The members of the class formed an arch down the center of the dance floor and Polly Norris took the hon- ors, escorted into the hall by Jack Ladetto. She was presented the crown of red roses by our class president, Dom Bernabei. The class of 1954 would like to express their appreciation to Mr. and Mrs. Mathews for all they have done for us. Thanks to you both from the bottom of our hearts. We also extend our thanks to Mr. Stahura and all who helped in any way to make our prom a success and what we think was the best prom ever to be held at Bourne High. JUNIOR PROM OF 1953 In February of 1953, the junior class got down to brass tacks and decided the title of their prom which would be held on May 22, 1953. Prom Night at the Club Tropica- bana” was chosen over Springtime in the Rockies.” The scenery was created from a South Sea Island theme and was a beautiful sight. Part of the colorful decorations were palm trees, tropical flowers, and orchid streamers.
