Fourteen Canal Currents - 1951 JOAN THERESE DRAPER General Course April 11, 1933 Orchestra 3, 4; Canal Currents 3, 4; Mixed Chorus 3; Art 3, 4. A talented violinist, Joannie is also the class artist — She spends her time defending the Yankees and has been seen flirting with some of the boys from the Maritime Academy while working at Matt Short’s. After graduation, Joannie hopes to enter the field of commercial art — we know she’ll come cut on top! ROBERT ELDRIDGE General Course October 28, 1933 Mixed Chorus 1; Boys’ Chorus 1; Art 1; Crusaders 1, 2, 3, 4; Baseball 1, 2, 3, 4; Halloween Party Committee 2; Junior Prom Committee 3; Student Manager 4. Bob is one of the quieter boys of the class, although he isn ' t so quiet if you know him well, (right Harris?) — He enjoys all sports and his favorite pastime is eating — He has plans for college in the future. We wish him all success! Reggie is a small, fast-moving member of the class whose specialty is getting things done in a hurry — She can usually be found with Irene, Jacky or Dede — She plans to continue working as a telephone operator after June. It seems as though New York has a great attraction for Stan — every time he gets behind the wheel of a car, he ends up there. Typing is Stan ' s favorite class because of the way Miss Daly teaches it — His pastime is flying. ( Faster way to get to N. Y.? ) While there ' s life there ' s hope CECILY MARTHA GRIST College Course January 30, 1934 Canal Currents 3, 4; Mixed Chorus 1; Girls’ Chorus 1; Art 1, 2, 3, 4; Librarian 4; Tennis 2; Honor Club 1, 2, 4; Junior Prom Co-Chairman 3- Cess is one of our most efficient librarians — Her favor- ite pastime is reading — She is an admirer of the arts and is one of our best and most ambitious students. Cess plans to go into nursing after graduation — Watch out for those internes, gal!
