Foods New in the Bourgade curriculum this year was the Foods Class. Our modern Foods Laboratory provides all the necessary equipment for the prospective home- maker. New, too, is our Foods Teacher, Mrs. Jane Smith. Judging by the enticing smells that emanate from this area the girls are really cooking with gas. . . and electricity. Standing L-R: Kathleen Short, Judy Vannasdale, Theresa Walsh, Kathleen Lazzari, Kathy LaBran, Christine Staab and Mary Ann Kuhens. Seated: Virginia Quirk, Jackie Jasman, Karen Frost and Valeriana Perez. J' ' k' Foods Teacher Mrs. Smith does a big job well. The smile shows it! Fathers and nuns have tasted the goodies which come from her lab. Yum! Yum!

Art Fr. Fox, . . wks. The second year of Bourgade High School's existence brought many new courses made available for our students. A very popular course is Art. Father LeRoy Fox, S. M. teaches a mixed class of boys and girls art at the sixth period each day. Our Art room is equipped in a way as modern as tomorrow and the students are making the most of the facilities provided. A visit to the art room will convince anyone that interest and industry prevail here. Student work is on constant exhibit and the progress from the beginning of the course until now is visibly evident.
