Third row: Alex Rykala, Marty Tolomeo, C-reg Bennett. 72 CLASS HISTORY Throughout our freshman year many things occurred which we will always cherish. Like many classes before us, we had a successful magazine drive. Our mascot, Yogi Bear, was awarded to the band homeroom for the highest sales. There was much conflict about the nominees for our class officers. Petitions circulated through our student body. When we did have the election, Alan Beatty was elected president, Chuck Esposito, vice-president, Judi Rotunno, secretary, and Cathy Gallo, treasurer. Our almost invincible football team lost only two games. The gaily colored geometric leaves added a spark of life to our school day. In 202, where many dissections took place, something else held our interest-the walking desks. Our English teachers introduced us to Ivanhoe, a new friend Cor was he?D. A good time was had by all at the Freshman Dance. We now look forward to attending the second assembly and having the many joys of being a sophomore. JoAN ROSENBERG MARTHA NANGERONI
