We've traveled many lanes during the last three years, and now we pause in the cove a minute-to rest, and to take a look through our Treasure Chest of Memories. Looking into the past we find many pleasant experiences to reflect upon, We see our teachers, classmates, the clubs we belonged to, our music makers and sportsters who won us many honors, and the Queens of the proms. Yes, in looking through this book now and in the years to come, we sincerely hope it shall help to bring back the pleasant memories you once were a part of here at Boulder l-ligh. First of these was the sponsorship of Roughhouse, the annual fray between the sophomores and the juniors for the school colors. Com- plete planning of the traditional Homecoming dance was undertaken by the council. An autumn theme was successfully carried out. A new addition to the school, a student directory, was compiled by the group. This directory contains the names, addresses, and phone num- bers of all students at Boulder High, These directories were for sale to all students for a nominal tee. These assemblies were outstandingly successful this year. Re-election, or new election of student council members from each counseling room was held at the beginning of the second semester. Regular meetings of the council are held each week at different periods during the day. A new program was inaugurated this year by the council wherein the students must first register before being allowed to vote in the spring elections. lt is felt this will create more interest in the elections ond prepare students for elections in later life. Praise may be given the council as they handled school affairs quite aptly during the l95l-52 year. The sponsors of the council were Eugene Gullette and Rolland Bartholomew. Hoof? The season was not a total loss, though, as several Panthers won rec- ognition for their feats on the gridiron. Ferrel Fitzpatrick, Boulder's center and line-backer, won state and con- ference honors and received honorable mention on the high school All- American team. Lowell Smith was placed on the second conference and state teams, while John Fisk won all-conference honors.
