Th Owl The lloulder High Owl, l'irst published in 19023, has completed an- other year ol' successful service to Boulder High students. This year the Owl followed a new policy ol' weekly publication ol' a tabloid-size paper. It was considered that the paper would be ol' much more actual service and benefit to the students it' it appeared each Friday. Ilecause ol' this. the Owl was issued thirty-live times during the year. Miss Esther McGuire took over sponsorship oi' the student publica- tion for the first time in the 1911-42 school year, replacing George Cris- well. In the contest held annually by the Vniversity of Colorado, this year's Owl received a general rating of good. Harold Garbarino and Emma Lou Landrum, Owl staff members, both were given ratings of superior for articles written by them and appearing in the paper. For its make-up the Owl received a rating oi' All-Foloradan. Throughout the year the Owl has continued to carry out its policy of service to the students and community by reporting truthfully and ac- curately the events ot' the school.
