The purpose of this organization is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership, and to encourage the develop- ment of character in pupils of BCHS. Among other worthy projects, they promote a scholar- ship fund each year for an eligible senior. Representatives to Girls' and Boys' State conference are selected each spring from the lunior class on the basis ot character, leadership and ability. The faculty makes the selections. This experience in govern- ment participation is sponsored by the American Legion and Auxiliary. Various other civic organizations assist with necessary funds.
