FINE ART A note ot discord . . . even the slightest deviation from the true note . . . brought a pained expression to Mrs. Garrett's other- wise pleasant countenance . . . she was a master artist at showmanship . . . we'll never forget our terrific glee club and band . . . madrigals . . . performances . . . neither will the public . . . she also taught speech . . . she had a reputation for being one of the finest musicians in the Southwest . . . because of her excellent performance with students . . . Mr. Sherman was really in the limelight . . . in 1958 . . . the only new teacher to BCHS . . . he taught us art and English . . . at the slightest provocation he would entertain us with his war experiences . . , his life as a commercial artist . . . and as a profes- sional baseball player . . ,

Now, students, shall we discuss our prob- lems? This greeting from Mr. Gibson was not meant to bring forth in our minds . . . our personal problems . . . dating . . . home- work . . . social behavior . . . parent . . . child . . . relationships . . . but it did . . . he could always get us back to the business at hand . . . whether it was physics . . . or trigonometry . . , especially this year our classes were interesting because he had been away for a stiff refresher course in advanced science , . . he was our boys' counselor and advisor to Honor Society . . . science We often wondered in that first year . . . Mr. Rowley's, that is . . . how the county could keep up with the expense of broken yardsticks . . . not that he beat us with them . . . he iust became enthusiastic in his science lectures . . . and wham! there would go another yardstick . . . he taught us biology and chemistry . . . coached J.V. foot- ball and was assistant baseball coach . . .

He could tell you what was the matter with your car at a distance that most of us couldn't even hear the motor . . . didn't only diagnose the trouble, but also helped us correct it . . . his driver training course was one of our favorites . . .
