WADE TAYLOR MARGARET WILLOUGHBY STARR CURTIS Wade received principal appointment to the Naval Academy, qualified as semi- finalist in the National Merit Scholarship, and was named Boy of the Month by the Las Vegas Exchange Club. Margaret Ann Willoughby was elected State President of Future Homemakers, presided over the convention held in B.C, and attended the National FHA Conven- tion in Kansas City. She also won My True Security speech contest. Judy Bachman was chosen by the faculty for her outstanding qualities to represent the DAR in the annual DAR Good-Citizen contest. JUDY BELL Judy Bell, Starr Curtis, and Don Stice qualified among the highest in our na- tion in the 1959 National Honor Society scholarships. Starr was one of the National Merit Scholarship semi-finalists, and Don received honorable mention. SENIORS WE'LL REM EM BER Judy Bell rated as l of the BOO finalists in the n-ation for the General Motors scholarships. Jeanne Bates won the coveted Betty Crocker Homemaker of Tomorrow award for our school. JUDY BACHMAN DON STICE JEANNE BATES

SENIOR WEEK We took over classes . . . guess the teachers didn't think we could do lt was Dress-up day for seniors . . . our week was off to a good too much damage so close to the end of the year . . . at least the start . . . we couldn't have looked so sharp every day, but for once other students liked us! it seemed wonderful to feel elegant at school, Thursday was Barbecue Time . . . that fire just wouldn't start, There never was a breakfast like that one! Whoever thought that and then when it did, we had ashes on our hamburgers, sand in iust because you were ready for a diploma, you could fry an egg the potato salad and soot in the punch . . . nobody cared much be- that any self-respecting fellow would eat . . . cause it was so close to the end for us . . . l02
