FACULTY Dr. George E. Rudd BOARD OF EDUCATION r Dr. Jack M. Dabbs Mr. Randall I. Godwin Mr Jack E. Brymer Mrs. Robert W Gwin Bottentield Jr. High is an Important part of the Jefferson County Board of Education Joining with 85 other schools. Botten-field helps form the largest suburban school system in Alabama. The School Board is made up of five citizens, from different walks of life, who serve as the decision and policy-making body of the Board. They are elected by an at-large vote and serve overlapping terms. The Board operates under the committee system to approve educational programs, new construction protects, and employ the necessary personnel to operate the school system effectively Mrs. Robert W Gwm has been a leader in Jefferson County education for the 17 years she has served on the Board. Dr George E Rudd is a family physician from the Pinson area serving his second term on Board. Dr Jack M. Dabbs is a physician and surgeon from the Hueytown area, currently serving his second term Randall I. Godwin is Special Projects Coordinator for the Red Mountain Museum, and the youngest Board member. Jack E Brymer. the newest addition to the Board is the managing editor of the ALABAMA BAPTIST newspaper Dr J Revis Hall serves the Board as superintendent and secretary and is responsible for carrying out the Board's decisions.
