Harriers chased rest of league all season Harrier, n. l-Any of several hawks, all of which course back and forth over meadowlands 2-A breed of small hound Wigs, employed in hunting the hare. 3-A cross country runner. W Whatever you call them the BHS harriers set a fast pace throughout the season. The girls raced to a fifth place at KingCo and the boys repeated their eighth place at league. Only two seniors left the cross country team. Bob Gastineau left the boys team, and Leanne Buckley turned over her Jil girls spot to Kari Jonassen, leaving a winner in all eyes. Golfers won, once Over hill and dale, through green pastures and color- ful meadows. . .into lakes and streams, trees, heavy brush. A mixture of both were encountered this season by the Bothell golfers. The season was highlighted by their lone win over Eastside Catholic high school and a hole-in-one scored by Bill Petterson at a practice ses- sion. Despite a rough season, the golfers improved with every match and enjoyed their sport and their daily vigil at Wayne golf course, led by Coach Cottnair.
