I O O L Dance started new tradition. Clockwise from ll o'clock: Crowd at assemblyg Brian Sedy dis' played a victorious TDg Perry Holzknecht recalled the tale of how the Cougs pounded the Saints1 Juniors tugged their way to an overall victory: Chris Barrow, Ke-pi Hemmann, Ed Muscat and Kristi Carter danced to the music of Cathedral , Seniors bellowed out their winning song, Sophomores showed their winning window to all of Bothell, Sophomore float, Grand Marshal Bob Raineyg Senior skit. The days before Homecoming were bustling with ener- gy and excitement, as last details were added to floats, and final arrangements for the dance were made. Friday saw the culmination of class competition, with all donning gimmicks and cheering on their classes at the assembly. Activities continued, with the parade progressing down Main Street and, finally the vigorously-anticipated foot- ball game, Intense action sparked at Pop Keeney, when the forces of Bothell and lnterlake collided, with the Cougs emerg- ing victorious. They demonstrated unity and skill as they trounced the Saints, 23-12, sending the crowd into a chorus of victory cheers, The dance, held on a Saturday for the first time in recent history, was a relaxing finale to the week's activi- ties. A new crop of enthusiastic sophomores entered BHS, in a year when morale ran high. Bothell High sported newly- painted halls and a new principal, Dr. Al Cohen. Pep Club members did their part to liven up the day with their tradi- tional high quality skit. The spirit of the school was reflected in the mood of the first assembly. Left, A forest of wood provided outlets for the accounting room.
