However, we also have character profiles, talent profiles, mentality profiles and many more, and while these are harder to capture in black and white they are there, nevertheless. The heartening thought is this- only we ourselves can determine what our profile shall re- fiect. May l say that the profile of this Senior Class looks very promising and it is my hope that the school has been of some help to you in determining what your profile is and will be. Mr. STRAND'S MESSAGE If wisdom was symbolized and identified by everyone we would have a varied description that only could be rendered palatable and abbreviated by saying, Wisdom of the wise is an uncommon degree of common sense. If whatever we do, say, or think in respect to people and things is weighed in this light of wisdom, we are placed in a better position to pass iudgement on ourselves. at 'Qs 'Q..,., 'x .,. JEANNE CHAUSSEE Legislative Council Rep. its Torch Club is comprised of students who have maintained a high grade point average to meet the standards set up by the National Honor Society. Once having been inducted, this average must be maintained in order to continue membership of this honorable organization. Among the activities carried on by these students, are the annual sweet-heart contest and a sock-hop. This year Torch tried an entirely difterent method of induction. instead at their orthodox daytime ceremony in which mostly students attended, the program was put on at night for the benefit of the parents, which proved a great success. Besides marching at ditterent occasions the band plays before us at various school functions. One occasion is at our sports events where they play the whole game and quit only as the last whistle is blown. We owe a lot to the band for boosting the enthusiasm of the spectators. Also they performed at our assemblies in which a pleasing tone was heard time after time. All in all we can thank the band for their music and the school spirit they ably carried with them. DANCE BAND The Dance Band or other wise known as the Rhythm Kings have ll members, 9 of whom played last year. lvlr Ackerman started the band a year ago and received help from the director of music at Washington State College.
