CLASS PROPHECY As we look upon Washington, D. C., it is none other than Charles Catlett in the president’s chair, with Bernard Eastwood trying to get the Treasurer’s books to come out right since they have loaned Captain Nelson Robins enough money to sail around the world. As the President picks up the New York Globe he sees where Hilda Robbins is editor; as he glances in the society section, he sees a picture of the symphony orchestra of which Woodie Brown is leader and Mary Louise Morgan, opera singer. In the same section Loray Callis is starring in a Broadway production as the leading character with Dorothy Davis, her manager. Also in the Fifth Avenue column we see where Leonora Kimberly is one of the top commercial artists with Elizabeth Leigh her business manager. The president puts down the paper and turns the radio on and hears the Moore twins, Katherine and Elizabeth. They have a program of their own with Guy German as their announcer. As he moves the dial he hears that Audrey Sterling is superintendent of nurses at McGuire Hospital and Rachael Booker, surgical nurse there, is performing a serious operation on Charles Sterling, millionaire from Florida. He turns off the radio as his private secretary, Elizabeth Wilson, brings in his mail; the first letter he opens is from none other than William Johnston, who owns General Motors, with Joyce Howlett as his secretary, old classmates of ’49. He reads the letter and finds out that he is sending his representatives, Enos Blake and Wilbur Groom, to Switzerland to get a supply of iron. A buzz from the receptionist takes him to the reception room where Ellen Hall is to see him and talks with him for several hours. After a hard day he finally goes to bed remembering the good old high school days. By Loray Callis -«f
