SENIORS The graduating class cf 1961 is composed of twenty-four proud mem- bers. Looking forward to our graduation in June, we’re beginning to reminisce about all the wonderful times we have had these past two years. Our most memorable experience was our prom which we chose to be Welcome t o Paradise Isle.” Everyone in the class worked enthusiasti- cally selling candy and pop during aH the basketball games to help pay for it. We also held several dances. Sherry Griffiswas crowned queen. Early in our senior year we chose David Williams, Ronny Dailey, Beverly Lee, Maureen Stone, and Sherry Griffis as our class officers. Mary Ann Leuck and Bob Cannon represented our class on the Student Council. BeverlyJ.ee was our lovely candidate for Basketball Queen. She won the contest and was crowned 1960-1961 Basketball Queen after the Boswell-Fowler basketball game. After taking a vote, the class decided to go to enchanting New Orleans on our senior trip. In order to pay for it we have had numer- ous record hops, a slave auction, sold Christmas cards for which we would like to thank everyone v ho bought cards from us, sold school pins, presented our senior play, sponsored a movie, had entertainer, John Coleman, sponsor a dance, and many other money making projects.
