We were soon made to feel right at home by the Sophomores who presented us with green ties and guide books which were to be our closest friends for several months. We had the honor of being the entering class at the time when the William E. Nickerson Recreation Field was dedicated but We are sorry to say we lost the Freshman-Sophomore field day on those beautiful new grounds. The Horrible parade was as Nhorriblel' as usual, but not as large as it has been in other years. The fire-hose on the third floor of H525 U put the finishing touches on all of us that day. The Varsity football team received a strong delegation from the Class of ,3Q. We had five men on the gridiron in one of the big games. The Freshman Football team played creditably through a hard schedule. In Varsity basketball and in hockey the Freshmen contributed four valuable players and the Freshman basketball team won five of its games. Mid-year exams were a new experience for most of usg but We stood all of them pretty Well excepting M-1 which was the favored failure of a great many of us. Elections were the most interesting features at the beginning of the second semester. At the meeting for nominations nearly every member of the class was enthusiastically nominated but when the ballots were counted Alden Bass, from Chicago, Illinois, became our President with three capable officers to assist him. We are studying hard, playing fair, and cheering loudly for C. B. A. and B. U. ,,..,.iw fy--Q... gs. as 5-X ,- f sin f lf 1 A S353 ' '1 - - - .M A 'Y.1-'H?1S,'.:e.Eif'1. ' 'fs1.aAf 'wf -- f .. - 2.
