It was founded at the College of the City ol' New York in 1914. Marked progress has followed the path of this organization until at the present time the fraternity has expanded to twenty active chapters. The cultivation and promotion of brotherly feeling, high scholastic standing, and participation in college athletics among its members is the purpose of this society. Much. success has been achieved from the efforts expended in the pro- motion of these ideals. Iota Chapter of Sigma Omega Psi was established in Boston University in l9l.9. It has done creditable work along scholastic, social and athletic lines. Three Delta Mu Delta men, two men on the Law Review at the Law School, and several athletes are included in its contribution to 'Boston University. l69

Columbia University recog- nized a group of young men whose bonds ol' friendship were so strong that the founding of the fraternity in 1909 was the ultimate result. The fraternity has been quite successful in its succeeding years, having expanded into seventeen chapters. The local chapter Xi was installed in Boston University, April, 1921. The chapter house is located at 71 Mountfort Street. 171
