The President's Message Daniel L. Marsh To TIIE IYIEMBERS OF TIIE GRADUATING CLASS, BOSTON UNIVEIISITY, 1948 MY DEAR FRIENDS! Yours is the largest class ever to have been graduated ' by Boston University, up to this date. Its members have had varying experiences in the past, even as they have varying ambitions and varying delights in the present, but One common bond binds you all together: You are all children of Boston University. You all love Alma Iilater, and will forever be indebted to her. You have seen, and some of you have participated in, world-shaking events. You and I are praying that the inter- national turmoil of the present may be but the birth-throes of a new and better era for the world of mankind. You are graduating from Boston University in a year which lIas been, i1I many respects, the greatest year of its history. In the period that has elapsed between your nIatriculation and your graduation, you have seen as much growth and maturity take place in the University as your friends have seen take place in you. That the University may give you increasing reasons for loyal devotion to it, and that you may give the University solid reasons for pride and satisfaction in you, is the prayer of Your friend, KQWMKYWMWZ I
