,1- 1,4 H1554 '7- The Right Triangle raffiizq The large, airy quiet rooms which we of the drafting shop have in the north wing of the building contribute much to two essentials of expert- ness in drafting: neatness and accuracy. lt is our iob to render general plans and rough sketches into .pecific workable drawings for the worker, the ma- chinist, and the manufacturer. To do our work well, we have to know the proper use of such things as the T square, protractors, triangles, and French curves. In addition we must learn about gears, threads, and the assembly details demanded by the other trades. In other words, our trade is somewhat connected with all trades, and we must and do acquire some familiarity with them. For that reason, we also learn the making and reading of blueprints. Ours is the trade that binds all trades together. We of the drafting depart- ment know that our services will be in demand in many fields, and for this we are happy.
