I I-NIIXXIORQ IJXI xhlxf III Our ILlectr1c1l shop is one of the largest and most interesting shops in the school Here we are mainly concerned with elec power The Flectrical Department is really four shops 1n one It 15 composed of the D1 rect Current Shop, the Alternating Current Shop, the Intercommunication Shop and the Outside Shop The Direct Current and Alternating Current Shops are so named because of the different types of electricity studied in each for shop vsork Our First years in school are spent in the Direct Current Shop and in the Intercom mumcation Shop In these shops we learn the names of all the different tx pes of tools we will be expected to use We learn hovs to properly handle and maintain these tools We are also taught our basic circuits and the prietiell fund imentals of l10llSLWll'lIlg' In the Intercommunicition Shop xse ue tiuqht how to wire up the different types of inter communication circuits thqt are used for In our yunior year our time in the shop is divided hetvseen the Direct Current the Alternating current and the Intereommuni cation shops In the Direct Current Shop we are taught motor wiring and we con tinue our housewmng yohs We continue the same type of work 1n the Intercommun ication shop as We did in our precedinff years The last ye lr in our shop in the Boston Trade I-Iigh School IS an interesting one Time spent in the Outside Shop is particu lirly facinating Here we learn something of the rep tiring of refrigerttors ind do 1 gre it deil of the lLILl'll work of an electrician I 1 I l 4 ' ,N ' 'l'HI-1 xlcrlwile-1Ll-2NHlc.x'l'f1lc Q I I X -2 .
