Mr. Kahn, musical director, has trained his young musicians to perform like profession- als. At Assemblies the blare of trumpets, the roll of drums, together with brass and woodwinds are combined in a mu- sical picture to the delight of both students and faculty. In addition, there are several virtuosi who provide the spark and vitality of this highly entertaining group. It is, un- doubtedly, one of the finest of school bands to be assembled in the Greater Boston Area.

ART ACTIVITY One of the most active clubs, under the expert guidance of Mr. Ralph Rosenthal, is the ART CLUB. For in this club the many creative posters used in the school, the droll cartoons for the Artisan, and all the realistic settings in our assemblies are produced. Comprising of those who have a bent with paint and brush, the ART CLUB often encourages some of these boys to continue this gifted work in art schools after graduation. Further works of the ART CLUB can be noticed throughout this yearbook where the members have greatly contributed to its perfection. “Me, cheat ?”’ First Row: Spiegal, Abany, Kleinglass, Kizner, Kahalas, Accomando, Harty, Nelson. Second Row: Mr. Rosenthal, McGowan, Weiner, Ciampa, Ross, Daforno, Stanish, Omansky, Gillin, Barth. rf ae 8 ‘oA — : , } teed —

For not only do the members of this club learn of all the problems of the camera world but they also solve them by the taking and processing of pictures throughout the school year. Under the direction of Mr. Mulloy and Mr. Burns the eager shutter bugs aid in the taking of pic- tures for the Artisan and Yearbook through which they proved that “one picture is worth a thousand words.” At the end of each year a vastnumber of commendable pictures are added to the evergrowing file of the CAMERA CLUB.
