WU are happy fordedicate the 1957 Se hnrian fotthiseikineael gentlemen a Mr. James W. Dailey is a graduate of Boston College High School and Boston College. He received both his bathelor’s and his master’s degrees at the latter and has taught mathematics exceptionally well here at Technical High School since 1952. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to have studied under his supervision have come to regard him as one of the finest teachers in the city. He developed mathematics not as a dry, mechanical subject but as one full of tricks and always in- teresting and he develops it in such a way that he imparts to his students some of his own love for the subject. Last year Mr. Dailey became Senior Class Advisor, a very difficult position, especially succeeding as he did, one of the best, Mr. David Rosengard. His firm yet fair and understanding counseling is known and respected by all. In his contacts with us he speaks our language and he really understands teenagers and their problems. The finest testimony to the management of his duties ts the one voiced by almost all of the seniors, “He’s a swell guy.” We are most happy to dedicate the 1957 Technician to this estimable gentleman.
