we (Beene enT Juniors in’55, physicists were we. “Physics is easy?” We didn’t agree. Machine shops were filled when we picked up our tools. Grinding and milling, we worked like mules. Athletic teams always glorified Tech’s name, and many other schools envied our fame. School clubs and activities this year were thriving. A popular one was Mr. DeGiacomo’s Pre-Driving. We were happy, when the seniors gave us the chance, to show off our girls at the fall Harvest Dance. Mr. Carter’s Career Day was held once again, and we all enjoyed listen- ing to well-informed men. Every day our courses seemed to get tougher, but the next year, we knew, they'd be even rougher. “Sentors,” we thought, “that’s we next year. Soon we'll be the ones the freshmen will fear.” But when we left in June, our teachers were kind; for all that they said was, “Keep your formulas in mind!” Seniors in’56, we’re at the end of the line. We’ll be alumni soon, leaving Technical behind. We are glad we came to fill your halls, even though dismayed by many pitfalls. Chemistry and trig hit us fast and hard. Some stuck their chins out and dropped their guard. “Better study for the College Boards!” our teachers would say. “Make hay while the sun shines, or else you will pay.” As seniors we felt important and proud, and our boisterous cavorting was varied and loud. The third floor classrooms housed most of our mass; each teacher was blessed with a memorable class. But how did men like Messrs. Morrill and McGrath continue to teach under the string of our wrath? To Karl Bossi it was just another folly when for President we elected Kenneth MacAulay. And to Messrs. Rosengard and DeGiacomo we bid a sad goodby, and praise all they did for Technical High. As the months passed by and the year ebbed away, requests for money seemed to come every day. But the goal of our years was at hand, and early in June it was time to disband. Four years have passed, and now that we are through, Farewell,—old Tech,—we fondly salute you. 19
