Dedicated in Loving Memory of Bryan J. Smith Our friend has fallen. We carry him on our shields. Our hearts are heavy. We will miss you, dear Bryan. We ask “Why?” In God ' s master plan maybe he was only on loan to us. Bryan was one of those special people that God sent us, who suffered and left this world early. In a materialistic world this gets our attention and puts things in the proper perspective. There are no guarantees in life — there isn’t any justice. Let us remember Bryan as he wore 42 and carried the football for the Wolfpack. Let us remember him as he streaked down the track leaving his competitors behind. Think of his quick grin that would flash across his face — think of him riding his motorcycle to school. Remember the courage he showed as he battled his illness. Headmaster’s Message Mr. Michael G. Contompasis TO THE GRADUATING CLASS OF 1986! I congratulate you, the class of 1986, for the truly outstanding achievement and honor that your have brought to yourself and your Alma Mater. Your dedication and devotion to duty have been exemplary. The years that you have spent here may often have seemed long, arduous, and frustrating. Many of you have not yet realized the value of the Latin School ex- perience. The exposure to a stiff curriculum, the hours spent in preparation of your daily work, the strict adherence to rules and regulations have provided you with the necessary background to further your personal and academic careers. You have been given the means to succeed. A great deal now depends upon how well you apply the lessons learned at Boston Latin School. Be ever mindful of your responsibilities to your parents, your school and your community. Be especially loyal to your Alma Mater. Aid her in every way so that she may continue to provide your successors with the opportunities that you have received. Make it a point to provide the support needed to help future Latin School stu dents. I congratulate you again for your interest, your cooperation and your success. I wish you well and Godspeed.
