PRESIDENT William Davis We have all reached the goal we were striving for wheil we came to Boston Latin School — graduation. Surviving the program at BLS was not an easy goal to achieve. Our masters, through the demands for hard work and strict discipline, have pushed us to the point of resentment, and sometimes even hatred toward BLS. But if one looks back on his BLS e.xperiences he will probably discover that they were not only most beneficial, but also most enjoyable. We can best use our Latin School training in this day and age where even the smallest of countries threaten world peace and a small minority of radicals tries to control the lives of millions of decent people in our very own country. We must keep peace, we must decide what is best for ourselves, and we must become the leaders of tommorrow in order to solve our own, the country’s, and perhaps the world’s problems. How far we go depends upon how firmly we have grasped the ideals at BLS and how well we shall put them to use in the further- ing of our education. I am sure that the Class of 1978 will not let down the school or themselves. Lor the Class of 1978, I sincerely thank the faculty, the administration, and the remaining students at BLS for making our experiences here ones we will always treasure and will most certainly never forget. Linally, 1 would like to give special thanks to our Headmaster, Mr. Michael Contompasis, for his outstanding leadership in guid- ing BLS through what could prove to be its most trying period. 30 Sincerely, WILLIAM J.
