OUR INTENTIONS . . . We’re all For many of us, the years at Latin School have been trying and difficult. For oth- ers, BLS ' s traditions of academic excellence have again done their handiwork, pro- viding the city of Boston, and indeed, the world, with citizens worthy of the high- est acclaim. But for all of us, the part of our lives which was spent at 78 Avenue Louis Pasteur shall always be looked upon with pride, and a justifiable sense of accomplishment. For we were, we are, the Class of 1977. It is the intention of this book, then, to capture a minute part of that time, so that all may see just how it really was. 2

In Remembrance of . . . In his many years as a teacher at the Latin School, Mr, Jameson did much more than teach us Latin and Greek. Thanks to his fine acting skills, we were able to see the anger of Achilles and the slyness of Sinon come to life in the classroom. None of his students could ever think of Latin as a dead language.. His style of teaching was unique. After gaining recognition for his work on stage and in radio, Mr. Jameson came to teach at the Latin School. It was at this time that he performed his most miraculous feat. Every year, he transformed young Latin School boys into Shakespearean actors. He also continued performing in radio commercials, where his many characters were loved by us all. While at the Latin School, he earned the respect of every- one fortunate enough to know him. Last year he decided to retire from teaching. Latin and Greek will never be the same without him. This however, is not a time for sadness. We will always cherish our memories of Mr. Jameson, and are happy for the people who will now have a chance to know him. We wish Mr. Jameson success, health, and happiness in all future endeavors. . . . Constantine George Pappas Jameson 3
