It holds the unique distinction of being the oldest public school in the United States. Its sole purpose is to prepare boys for college. We can all be proud of the record Boston Latin School has maintained for three and a quarter cen- turies. Our graduates are readily admitted to col- leges throughout the country and have brought great credit to the school by their achievements in college and in all the professions. The standards of-the school and its course of study are strict. We have made changes, especial- ly in science and mathematics, to keep in step with the times. Fundamentally the course of study has remained steadfast for centuries. The path to graduation is not an easy one, but the feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment is well worth the hard work necessary. On this three hundred and twenty-fifth an- niversary we salute the illustrious graduates of past years and extend our heartiest congratula- tions to this special anniversary class.
