He started the year off with a win against Greensfork by a score of 8 to 2, and ended up the season with four wins and four losses. Mr. Armstrong has been one of the busiest men in school this year. In addition to teaching a full schedule of Social Studies, he coached the Second Team in basketball through a very successful season. His Junior High team won a number of games and the first Junior High tourney was held near the Christmas holidays in the Boston gym. Teams competed from Liberty, Fountain City, Milton Whitewater. Whitewater won and played the winner of the Williamsburg Junior High Tourney in the County Tourney. ln addition to his many duties, Mr. Armstrong sponsored the Junior Class, the class that handled the conces- sion stand at the ball games. He doesn't remember how many sacks of crushed ice he hauled from Richmond to cool the cokes. We have appreciated Mr. Armstrong this year not only for the good work he has done in the field of sports, but for his help, friendly advice, and interest in helping us to have a better school. It wasn't long after school opened last fall when quotations from the Bible and literature began to appear every Monday morning on the front blackboard of the study hall. We wondered who put them there, and one morning we saw him. Thanks, Mr. Armstrong, for all you have done for us. We've been glad to have you as a member of our school faculty and as our friend.
