The Avork is accomplished; our task is done. Thus far ve have made our journey in common, but noAV that point is reached where eacli must make his Avay alone ; and while we are read 7 to step forward to the tasks which the Maker has assigned us in life, it is but fitting that ere our paths diverge, we should record in some permanent form the events that have occurred to make these — our college days — the brightest of our lives. This volume is the result of an effort to make such a chronicle, and, in offering it to their class-mates and friends, the editors wish it to be judged, not for its literary merit nor for any originality it may possess, but solely foi ' its fitness in serving the end for which it was produced. They have endeavored to make a judicious selection from the countless incidents that have made our college clays so pleasant, and to record only those which, in their judgment, were deemed most worthy of remembrance. We trust that when the years have somewhat dimmed the light of memory, Sub Turri will be a means of recalling to our minds pleasing anecdotes, stirring moments, and happy class- mates, and will vividly flash before our eyes the glorious achieve- ments of our athletic teams, the triumphs of our debaters, and the good-fellowship fostered by our student organizations during our brief stay under Alma Mater ' s watchful care. The work has been one of love for Alma Mater and of loyalty to the class of 1920, and the editors sincerely hope that it will reflect credit on the one and be a source of joy to the other.
