DECEMBER DAYDREAMS s L'st'A1,, the thoughts of Christmas and of course vacation occupied most of our time. However, track. basketball and hockey revealed many promising stars in the senior department. Still. the majority were dreaming of the coming Vhristmas Dance. However, the Flass of 4-f'. composed of 34- expectant students are proud of the advancement they have made in the past few months. Gallantly we pursued Aeneas and his hand in their innumerable wanderings guided by Mr. Richard, S.J.. Fr. hlurray, SJ. simplified the ever mysterious Physics course and Fr. Quinn clarified the trigonometric problems. In our class elections Paul llc-Goldrick was voted in as president with Ed Fenton, Joe Sheehan and Jim llcffusker as his able assistants. Among the scho- lastic leaders we note hlike Hynes, Paul Me-Goldriek, Jim lluldoon. Ed Xlurphy and Harry Braudis. On the gridiron we were represented by lIcGoldrick. Sheehan, Russo and Martignetti. Our hockey stalwarts were Sheehan and Rooney while 1IcGoldrick and Bill llaher carried our banner on the basketball team. Blany of our class hustled for the Renaissance, including .lim IIC- Kenna, business manager of the Renaissance, Jim Jacobs, Kenny Yvythe, llike Hynes, Neil Blcfarron and Jim llcfusker. We were also proud of the fact that hlike Hynes illustrated our Botolphian in the December and Easter issues. Mike Hynes and Jerry hlchlahon, who was also our Sodality prefect were our delegates to the French Club. And, lest we forget, Jim ltluldoon was a key member of Radio Club, the youngest of our extra- curricular activities. . , 1 N' it -t-ban, hlL'Goldl'U'l' I ' h- , ,. Fenton. 5 lt 1-Incl-U IM . Glavin who led us through the court- rooms of Cicero and retold to us the wanderings of Aeneas. Then Fr. Quinn showed us the science of bounc- ing molecules and smashing atoms, while enlightening our minds concerning the three states of matter. Fr. Shea presented us with a pile of logs and Fr. Murphy had the enviable distinction of teaching us La langue Francais . After much political chicanery Joe Celata was elected President, Charley Bent, Frank Doherty and Jack Brooks split for the minor offices. 4B was well represented in Athletics. Frank Burke, Joe Celata and Ken Halloran, the backbone of the B. C. High hockey team have represented us well. Paul Sheedy was our capable contribution to the track team. Paul Kingston and Joe Corcoran were among the outstanding players on the football team. Blike Dihlodica was chosen as the yearbook's Almost for his physical dexterity. For the first time in the history of B. C. High we made a closed retreat at Campion Hall in Andover. Sixty-four students separated themselves from the ranks of B. C. High and enjoyed a few days of peaceful meditation and prayer. Oct. 14-16-Annual Retreat. Oct. 17 -Retreat Holiday. Oct. 31-4th year Parent's Night.
