Leaving Mass at the re-opening of school ODALITY ms Yr-Lan, by the end of October, the program of the Sodality activities for the year was drawn up and the following senior prefects were chosen by our moder- ator Father King, SJ.: Kevin Falon, Gerardillcllahon, VVailter Eagan, Joe llc-Parland, Allen Wallace, Frank Yan Fmmersen, and John Goonan . . . Each of these prefects took a turn in reciting the prayers at our weekly devotions. The first Sodality activity for the year was the annual Thanksgiving Food Drive for the Little Sisters of the Poor in Roxbury. The huge amount of food collected clearly showed the Fhrist-like charity which is instilled in the hearts of Boston College High Sodalists, During the months of October and May. the Rosary was re- cited daily in the chapel. Holy Nlass was celebrated every Friday and on the First Fridays, in addition to Holy Mass, services of reparation to the Sacred Heart were held, consisting of a sermon and benediction. A splendid example of the generous spirit of our Sodalists was displayed by the weekly mite box. Each week the boys contributed over 34100. placing this school far above the other Jesuit schools in the New England Province. Since the spiritual work of our Sodality dis- tinguishes us from the ordinary high school, we of this graduating class will always love and cherish our S0- dality and be ever grateful to the faculty for their con- tinued interest in our spiritual welfare.
