Much credit is due pitchers Hunter and Bent for outstanding performances. B.C. HIGH 2 EAST BOSTON 1 Tinker Dillon pitched a tie game until Donlan singled, driving in t.he winning run. B.C. HIGH 6 COMMERCE 7 Whelan pitched for B.C.H. and Paul was the opposi- tion hurler in the season's second loss. B.C. HIGH 7 CHARLESTOWN 12 Tim Clougherty homered with a 350 foot drive. Sam Carr was driven out in the fourth to be replaced by Dillon. Many errors lost the game for B.C.H. B.C. HIGH 3 TRADE 6 O'N eil, all-star, pitched for Trade. Bent had thirteen strike-outs, O'Neil had fifteen. Trade scored when B.C.H. center-fielder lost the ball in the sun. B.C. HIGH 3 SOUTH BOSTON 4 Much credit is due pitcher Dillon despite handicap of cold weather. Victory hopes exploded at the end of the ninth, when Hunter, pinch hitting, struck out. Triple threat Smooth Team Play, B.C. HIGH 3 DORCHESTER Q A sensational left field catch by Donlan, plus a tie- scoring homer in the fifth by Concannon, put B.C.H. ahead. B.C. HIGH 5 BRIGHTON 4 B.C.H. is first scorer of season against Brighton All- Star, Dunderdale. Hunter pitched a sensational game with B.C.H. scoring five in the fifth to win. B.C. HIGH 12 ENGLISH 4 B.C.H. scored four points in the first inning. Donlan drove in two runs with Hunter, again, the winning pitcher. B.C. HIGH 13 ROSLINDALE 8 John O'Brien pitched and played game with catcher Dick O'Brien and the outfielders. Green pitched for Rosie. B.C. HIGH 6 ROX. MEMORIAL 7 Two runs by Memorial in the final inning upset a leading B.C.H. Bent went to the mound for B.C.H. DIAMOND DUST Biggest thrill of the season was when we upset Brighton, city champs, 5-4. Other top teams to taste defeat at our hands were English, Dorchester, and East Boston. Donlan finished with the highest batting aver- age for the season, Hunter, no losses for the season. Our three sport coach, Charlie Mc-Coy, proved again his ver- satility by piloting the Eaglets to four major victories.
