Vonley plunged over from the two to draw first hlood. From then on. Donlan and company dominated the play. At the outset of the second quarter. Toland went 53 yards in two plays to score. The next touchdown was registered on a Ilonlan to Lynch special-f a nifty IQ yard pass into pay dirt. In the third quarter. the talented trio of Donlan. YYayland, and Toland moved the hall into posi- tion for Vox to score his second touchdown of the after- noon. Finally. Hunter took two of Donlan's passes, the last for Q0 yards, to end the scoring. B.C'. HIGII 13 LATIN 13 Halfback VVayland scored both touchdowns in a game which found the Eagles forced to stave oil' a last second drive hy Latin. B.i'. High spotted Latin a 6-0 lead in the first period when Sinehes intercepted one of Capt. Donlan's passes on the 40 and went all the way for the touchdown. The I5.I'. High team then bounced baek to tie it up when Ivayland went two yards to pay dirt to climax a 42 yard drive. This completed the scor- ing in the first half. Fonnolly ran Q3 yards fora score. and White converted to give Latin a I3-6 lead at the end of the third quarter. I3.C'. High eame haek to tie it up on YYayland's 18 yarder and Toland's vital point. in the fourth quarter. B,C. HIGH 13 ENGLISH IQ Two T.I7. passes hy Donlan and Jack YYayland's con- version. this was what spelled victory for BY. Iligli over its old Blue and Blue rival. Becomes Boston Co-Champions first blood on a Donlan to Wayland 10 yarder and Way- land's conversion. Then, Donlan came up with a picture play. Standing in his own end zone, he fired a pass to Hunter at midfield and 5atch went all the way. BIT. HIGH 4-1 BRIGHTON Q5 Coming from a 12-7 deficit at half-time, the Eagles broke away to a 34 point scoring spree tihat enabled them to beat a classy Brighton team. It was just a case of too much of B.C'. High's power packed offense. The passing of Donlan, and the running of VVayland and Toland kept Brighton in a dither all day. Hunter and Toland each scored twice, but scoring honors went to Brighton's Lemicr who scored all of his team's Q5 points. B.C. HIGH 19 SOUTHIE 6 Paced by Donlan's running and passing, B.C'. High triumphed to a 19-6 victory in a battle of unbeaten Boston Conference powers. Donlan functioned the Eagle's T-Formation superbly as he mixed his running plays with well-thrown passes. The first score was set up by Tackle Kelley who recovered a fumble on the Southie 40. Five plays later, Donlan sneaked over from the 4. In the second period, B.I'. High put on a sustained march of 80 yards to score again, climaxed by a 10 yard pass to Lynch in the end zone. Donlan led his team 65 yards for the third touchdown, ending it on a sneak from the two. B.C'. HIGH 18 COMMERKII 12 Having five of its backs badly crippled. B.C'. High was forced to come up with a 60 yard drive late in the final quarter to defeat Commerce. Jack YYayland fur- nished the decisive touchdown with three minutes left on a seven yard sweep after a Donlan heave to Hunter set the score up. Earlier. Jim fotter broke through center on a 49 yard run to give the Eagles a 6-0 half- time lead.
