He continued the T formation attack which the team had been employ- ing for four years. B. C. H. can well be proud of this chapter of the Junior Eaglets for they defeated our traditional rivals Latin and English, something that was not done for the four previous years. The members of the team will attest to the fact that under the leadership of Coach John Morris and Assistant Coach Bill Lynch there was a driving inspira- tion which enabled the team to complete such a successful season. In the first game of the season we de- feated Keith Academy 26-14 under the lights. Richie Doyle was the star, scor- ing three touchdowns, all of which were runs over 50 yards. In another non-Con- ference game we were defeated by Chel- sea, a power house of Class A, 25 to 0. Dave McGoldrick and John Cussen. In this game the Maroon and Gold could never get their attack started and in- juries to key players hurt our cause considerably. In our finale we tied Re- vere 13 to 13 on Thanksgiving Day be- fore a gala holiday crowd which saw B. C. H. score one fast touchdown and then watched Revere add two faster ones to lead almost throughout the whole game. But John Cussen broke through the Revere line and scurried 63 yards to tie the game. B. C. H. opened its Conference sched- ule by walloping Technical 40-12. The scoring was well divided between the backiield quartet of Cussens, Schultz, Valinote and Doyle, with Richie scoring twice. We continued on the victory trail by stopping Latin 12 to 7. John Valinote scored the f1rst touchdown on a line-buck and John Cussen intercepted a stray pass and ran 37 yards for our second touchdown which proved to be the mar- gin of victory. In our next three engage- ments we toppled Trade, Commerce and our arch-rival English 20-6, 12-6, and 13-0 respectively. In the Trade game Richie Doyle personally took control and escorted us to our third straight Con- ference victory. The second member of our one-two scoring punch, John Cussen, scored two touchdowns to enable us to down a stubborn Commerce team and make it four in a row in Conference competition.
