JOHN BUD MURPHY When the two Buds Bud Murphy and Bud Sulllvan were back on the defense the rest of the team could g1ve thelr attentxon to the manufacturmg of goals because thls b1g lad had a way of stoppmg the fastest and heavlest skaters that was posltlvely dxscour agmg to the health H15 poke checkmg and body checkmg whlch was of the clean varlety were unbeatable and few were the men wno came through hlm to shoot at our goal Qulet and sllent he stood waltmg and quletly and sllently he d1d hxs work and let hlS deeds talk for hlm JAMES ROBBY ROBINSON Tansey was first partner m the pos1t1on of guardlng the nets and Robby was the ramy day goahe Ramy days have a way of bemg a matter of smgmg Let It ram for the team Hls good Judgment of where and when an opponent was gomg to shoot gamed the pranse of the coach and the courage wlth whlch he made hlS plays brought the stands to thelr feet IH applause He brought confidence to the team every tlme he took hls posltlon and IS a good college prospect MANAGER JOE TANSEY Joe IS our manager of hockey and lf we had nothlng to commend ln h1s hockey career the capable manner 1n whlch he handled that meanest of Jobs would be enough to make hlm famous But we needed a goahe and bespectacled Joe bought hlmself a mask and came out for the posltlon Hls shlftlness and alertness saved many a goal from bemg chalked up agalnst the Maroon and Gold Never mnssmg a pract1ce he gamed a certam technlque 1n the play of hls posltxon that put hlm always a couple of Jumps ahead of the shooter Page One Hundred Slxty one I u H ' 61 97 K6 YI D I6 !!
