THE FORBIAN l Austin J. Sullivan l 3 Florida Street i Dorchester Sodality Cl, 2, 3, 43 K. B. S. 13. 45 1 Track C23 Football 445 FlashW Dun1py Austie is our heavy college. He can't help his weight how- ever. Austie is a tried and true o11e of usg he and Gil form a vivid illlustration that might be termed The Inseparablesi' Austie always evinced real athletic abilityg but an inopportune operation put a kink i11 his sporting ambitions. Tough luck, Sul. How many reineinber Austie's comical parody on Poe's Gold Bug? It was better than the original. Austie has a dry sort of humor but nevertheless it is mirth provoking. He is one of our brightest scholars, a quiet, conscientious studentg he is a leader socially, armed with a friendly smile and an easy poise. Everyone knows Austie and everyone likes him. How- ever, Austie, we do not know you half as well as we should or at least want. to. Wherexfer you go we know you are going to be a leader and we know you are going to be popularg and so may our best wishes of good fortune se11d you out upon your way.

THE FORBIAN Dennis B. Sughrue 21 Sparks Street Cambridge Sodality Cl, 2, 3, 43 Ii. B. S. Q3, 41 McElroy f2J Class Vice-President C19 Denny, Dense i'Shag7' One day a terrible roar was heard in the school. However, that wasn't Dennyg for he is one of the quietest fellows we have ever known. VVitl1 l1is quiet air, gentle demeanor and eternal Slllile he ingratiated his way into our hearts. Denny himself was quiet- but his Chi-istnxas socks! They were a cross between an Arabian sunset and a bad ease of the delirium treinens. Denny is a good student toog we can still hearken back to our earliest algebra days when he astounded and amazed us. He has been at all times one of these quiet fellows doing a lot and saying a littleg a hard, willing worker, a classmate with initiative. Always' popular with the boys he has too at tilnes evinced propensities towards other personages. His stay with us has been happyg he has 1113119 many others. happy, toog and that is just why we will miss l1i1n. Keep smiling Dinnyg you have Inade nlany friends here and arined with that magic pass- word you should eonquer more worlds in the life beyond.

THE FORBIAN S Eugene J. Swanson 720 Harrison Avenue Boston Sodality Cl, 2, 3, 45 K. B. S. 13, 45 Class Vice-President C15 Class Secretary 12, 35 . Dramatics fl, 3, 45 Class Basketball fl, 2, 35 Sven,,' Gene, Swede Swaneei' All tl1e glamor and exotic interest of school life were wasted on Gene. Now dontt assume that he is a chronic pessimist. Far from that. Rather it is that condant contact with the insides of the higl1 school mechanism has left Gene with a matter--oi-fact regard towards everything new. He was our stage wizard, directing the scenic and lighting effects with undeniable geniusl Gompositions from his pen were the most beautiful thoughts that ever adorned the pages of the Botolphian. And then, patres conscripti, recall that 0,Reilly to Swanson pass down the Gym court that was always labelled two more points. Gene and Andy have been a better team than Damon and Pythias, the Smith Brothers, or the Siamese Twins. Each remind you of the other, they are so different. Gene naturally took a good deal of kidding about his Scandinavian affiliations from his 'fharpv friends but he always took it smilingly. Gene ha.s held many class offices very efficiently,-and he is held in high regard by allhis class mates. .
