Farewell The time has llecl since first we met you Dear Old Christian High. Our luture stretched before us, our hopes were in the slcy. We were not loolcing lar ahead, our thoughts were all in fun, And happily we'd leave the school as each new day was done. But now we're not so carefree, for we see not lar ahead. The day when we'll he leaving you for a career instead. We can't believe that one time we had loolced ahead with glee, For that day we'd always yearned for, the day when we'd he free. Yes, free from where we'd started life. where loyal friends were found, Where we learned what was meant hy strife, and that the world was Free from parties and haslcethall games, free from fun and laughter. Free from many things that we won't find in life hereafter. But now as graduation nears. we try to shrinlc away. For we realize only sadness will he with us on that day. Yes. we'll he free, hut only from the things we've learned to love, And now Our happiness can Colne frorn only God ahove. But we've acquired lcnowledge, and we now must lace the world, Tl1Ht'S heen soiled hy a force which constantly is being hurled, At our country. and at others, and people everywhere.
