BASEBALL Last spring Christian Highis heavy- hitting hasehail team launched a very successful tirst season. compiling a record oi three wins, two losses and two ties. ' The new gray uniiorms with hiue trimming made Christianis athletes looic professional. Coach Miles tool: the enthusiastic candidates and de- veloped a line team oi very capahle players who showed increasing promise each day ol the season. The team comprised thirteen young athletes, each oi whom contrihuted to Chris- tianis success. Looking at the infield we found Marv Vvilson at first hase, while Boh Vvesl toolc his position at second. Bill Horner played the Uhot corner at third, while Don Riclcer alternated hetween short stopping and pitching. Most ol the catching duties were handled hy Roger Hamlin who received last halls from John Myer and Carl Nlcconchie. The outfield saw Charlie lViacFarlane in left. Dave Gordon in center, while Bob Docherty and Diclc Armstrong alternated in the usun Dave Folsom and Gordon Harvy completed the team. Christianis prospect lor this season is just as hright as last yearis with many oi the same fellows returning to the lineup. But as our team loolcs forward to another great year. they are confident in the Lord. that through their Christian witness on the hall diamond other fellows will he drawn closer to the Lord.
