The purpose of the club is to promote a growing appreciation of life in general, including the home, com- munity, and nation. Each year the club sets at least three main goals and strives to carry them out through the year. F. H, A. members participate in many activities during the year which are determined by the girls. D. E. C. A. The purpose of Distributive Education Clubs of America is developing future leaders for marketing and distribution. The club has regular meetings to discuss both business and social matters. The local businessmen play an im- portant part in guiding the students by both leadership on the job and direc- tion at club meetings. Scholarship awards are given to chosen D. E. C. A. members by various business groups. The D. E. C.A. in Borger High is affil- iated with both the state and national clubs.
